Why Chaos Makes Parenting Fun?

Image
Why Chaos Makes Parenting Fun? Socks on the floor, pajamas on the dressing table, The coffee mug is dried and stained and right at the foot of the bed, and finally on the queen size bed there are a pair of twins aged about 5 years of age, their exhausted mom, two books which I think they used for bedtime stories. And last the special inmate of the room- their golden Beagle! That is not all, towels were strewn on the chair, two feeding bottles on the side table and man was this a true mess! The Beauty of Chaos What a view! One word for what I see here right now- is chaos. The irony of all this is that in the midst of all this untidiness, all I could admire is how the mother and her twins slept so blissfully. The kids looked like angels, with brown ruffled hair and all three were so cozy. At that moment, all I wanted to do was to jump into bed right with them. But lol, was I being a bit childish? Oh yes, I admit I was a bit. You must be wondering w

The Journey from Baby Tantrums to Childhood Depression

The Journey from Baby Tantrums to Childhood Depression Soothing the Tantrum Mayhem – be it at a mall, or at home, or maybe at church – was always a task for me! When I was expecting, I was the happiest woman in the world. God had been gracious enough to give us a child. Once my cutie pie was born, I was even more elated. I was like, ‘Now I just need to feed, play and clean my lil one’. I have heard older moms speak out about their sleepless nights, messy clothes, small adventures with their kids. In short, they were tired and exhausted by the end of the day! And when my girl was born, she seemed relatively calm. She would only cry when she needed a slurp of energy dose (fresh breast milk!) or maybe needed a change of her nappies. Well, that was all fine. The rest of the time she was a beautiful sleepyhead. No troubles at all for Mama! So, I could go along cooking, cleaning, and even jotting down my thoughts when I was free. The first B’day passed

Stop taking care of your kids too much coz, it may harm them!

Stop taking care of your kids too much coz, it may harm them! This thought just crossed my mind the other day, as I went to the mall. Being a parent myself, I do understand the hassles of parenting. Now, in a congested place like a mall, it is fun with kids It is like a huge playground for them and these small children really don’t know where to start exploring from! They have tons of things to watch like people, various toys, appliances, games, food and to top it all- there will be a lot of children who are waiting for this moment to meet new friends. But you know what- the hard part is all for the mommies and grandparents who keep in pace with these naughty little legs. And that is damn tiresome and annoying! And at any point, if you have lost sight of them or vice versa- then things will begin to look unpleasant and tension strikes. That is one side to it. The other side is what I want to dwell upon today. Children are naturally inquisitive and love to lay t

Calming the Tantrum Storm: A Tactic all Mommas should learn!

Calming the Tantrum Storm: A Tactic all Mommas should learn! E xhausted and frustrated to the core, but my dear tot will give up!...That is what the lil Kiddo taught me about Tantrums! Just a week back, we trotted off to the nearest supermarket to get a few cartons of milk and get back home. Oh by the way, the ‘We’ is being referred to my toddler (1.5 years of age) and me (his mother)! Our day we started off quite well. My boy has crossed the first year of life and it is now that he began experimenting the various colors , textures and flavors  of life. A lot of watchin life sure is good, but somehow he also learned the tactics of getting things in his favor  through tantrums. So, I guess I had to learn the lesson tantrums and I tell you- it can be so embarrassing! Yes, it sure is one tactic all mothers ought to learn! Lemme tell you, it ain’t easy and it is never something to get involved with. So, getting back to our shopping spree, I will just g

What does it feel like to have allergies?

What does it feel like to have allergies? I must tell you, I really never had known an allergy could be such a pain in the neck. When we lived by the countryside, things felt so pure and nice and so my kids, my family and even myself never felt the pinch of an allergy. At the same, my friends and cousins who lived in the cities and top metros- did understand what an allergy could do to them. I often used to as k, ‘What do you feel actually?’ and they replied , ‘It’s hard to explain, but sure is irritating’. Okay, so I had to leave that aside. Due to God’s grace and fresh and organic farm food, my children never felt ill very often. Then once the children were 10 years plus, we decided to go for a trip to Singapore. Well. It was the school vacations and all of us were longing for a break. I began my research on the beautiful place called Singapore and yes, I could find that it was one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Great food, great places to see, and

Why I feel Cancer can be put to control with this spice?

Why I feel Cancer can be put to control with this spice? I was thinking that we all are reading, exploring the world and yet amongst us, there are so many people who are dying everyday in the name of some of disease. That is sad and heart breaking. Even though we educate ourselves about how to stay healthy, we actually don’t put whatever we read into practice and that is bad part of that. Nowadays. If we look around our locality we will frequently find a handful of people who are fighting cancer. Be it adults or small children- cancer is terrific to all. I always remember my teachers say- ‘Prevention is better than cure’. So, even for cancer this holds true and I went on to read and find out about this miraculous root. To tell you the truth, the main instigation behind this – is when I found my maternal uncle was found to have lymphoma. The chemo was wrecking his mind and digestive system. That is when I felt he needed a natural treatment to make him back
